Palestinians not safe in America, child brutally stabbed

Shiite News: Illinois police said that a man from Chicago killed a six-year-old Muslim boy with a knife and seriously injured his mother.

US police condemned the “inhumane and cowardly” act of violence. The American Council on Islamic Relations announced that the convicted murderer shouted anti-Palestinian and anti-Islam slogans while committing the crime.

Police said 71-year-old Joseph Czuba stabbed the child 26 times in his Plainfield home, seriously injuring the six-year-old on his way to the hospital.

His mother, 32, also suffered dozens of stab wounds and is in the hospital, but is expected to survive, officials said.

Joseph Czuba has been charged with first degree murder, attempted murder and assault.

“Investigating officers were able to determine that both victims of this brutal attack were targeted by the suspect because they were Muslim,” the Will County Sheriff’s Office in Chicago said in a statement.

Jill and I were shocked and sickened to learn of the brutal murder of a six-year-old child and the attempted murder of the child’s mother in their home yesterday in Illinois.

The child’s Palestinian Muslim family came to America seeking what we all seek—a refuge to live, learn, and pray in peace.

This horrific act of hate has no place in America, and stands against our fundamental values: freedom from fear for how we pray, what we believe, and who we are.

As Americans, we must come together and reject Islamophobia and all forms of bigotry and hatred. I have said repeatedly that I will not be silent in the face of hate. We must be unequivocal. There is no place in America for hate against anyone.

We join everyone here at the White House in sending our condolences and prayers to the family, including for the mother’s recovery, and to the broader Palestinian, Arab, and Muslim American communities.”

As many as 2670 Palestinians, including more than 700 children, have been martyred since the start of the Al-Aqsa Storm operation and during the brutal and extensive airstrikes by the Zionist regime’s air force in various areas of the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Quds Network announced. “The number of Palestinian children killed by Israeli bombing in one week is more than the total number of Ukrainian children killed in the last 20 months.”

A spokesman for the United Nations agency UNICEF has also emphasized that “Not only is there no longer a safe place for children in Gaza, there is also a shortage of water, food and medicine.”

There is no doubt that the crime of American citizen Joseph Czuba demonstrates the prevalence of extremism, racism and hate-based violence in the United States.

In this regard, FBI Director Christopher Wray warned against a rise in violent extremism amid clashes between Hamas and Zionist forces, saying: There is no doubt that the dangers are growing.

Discrimination against Muslims in the US, as well as incidents of physical and verbal violence, have increased, with far-right groups often involved.

The propaganda and media war against Muslims has intensified especially after recent developments in Occupied Palestine.

This phenomenon of Islamophobia includes incidents like violent attacks against Muslims, burning of Islamic places of worship, verbal attacks against Muslims, threats and discrimination against followers of Islam in various educational and professional matters.

The recent crime against a Muslim mother and child in Chicago in the name of the fight between Hamas and the Zionist regime is also a sign of the growing anti-Muslim hatred in America.
