Biden Didn’t Hesitate to Call Putin ‘a Killer’, MBS Is Not for Advancing ‘US Interests, Values’

In a position that reflects blatant hypocrisy for those who raise the flag of democracy, human rights, human dignity and freedom of expression, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken refused to describe Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as“a killer” over Khashoggi murder, during an interview with CNN.

CNN’s anchor sought to draw a comparison between US President Joe Biden’s views of Russian President Vladimir Putin as “a killer” and his views of MBS, following US action taken against certain Saudis over the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in 2018. The anchor asked Blinken: President Biden didn’t hesitate to call Vladimir Putin a killer. Do you consider Mohammed Bin Salman a killer?”

In his outrageous response, Blinken answered that the US has to deal with leaders of other countries who do things that are “objectionable” and “abhorrent” everyday, but in order to advance the interests and values of the US, “it’s important to deal with them.”

Blinken went further in his hypocrisy when he added that it’s “likely” MBS will be the leader of Saudi Arabia “far into the future,” and there’s a strong interest in working on things with them, such as ending the war in Yemen.

What Blinken said is considered obscene hypocrisy, as the US raises the slogans of human rights, exaggerates them in countries that are hostile, and completely ignores them with countries it considers allies or subordinates.
