Saudi Arabia’s Shia scholar says maligning for religious thoughts is not allowed

“No one is allowed to chastise people for their religious takes and thoughts,” said one of the prominent Saudi religious clerics, Sheikh Hasan Saffar, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

“Being each other’s enemies due to religious beliefs and credos is not acceptable,” said Sheikh Saffar, stating that especially when this conflict and crossing swords happen in a an Islamic society or a country.

To him, no one is allowed to level criticism at people due to their religion, denominations and beliefs.

The prominent Saudi religious clerics underlined the necessity of internalizing the freedom of thinking in the society.

To many a religious cleric, the West wants Muslims to be at each other’s throats, opening an old wounds among them.

Given that, it is incumbent upon Muslims to avoid from being parted and do their best to be united.

To Islamic scholars, Muslims should refrain from jousting over nitpicking arguments and take the cognizance of enemies’ plot for increasing dispersion in the Islamic World.
