Saudi forces arrested 2 Shiite citizens in Qatif

Arbitrary arrest for the Shiite citizen ‘Hussain Al Leith’

On 18 September 2013, in Awwamiyya, a Shia town in Qatif, police arrested the Shiite youth ” Hussain Abdullah Al Leith”, during his attend at police station.

Al Leith was arrested for no good reason and the police gave no explanation for his family for the arrest.

Al Leith was moved to al-Dammam prison.

The Shiite citizen ‘Median al-Awi’ was arrested by Awwamiyya police

On 14 September 2013, a Saudi force arrested the Shiite citizen “Median Mahdi al-Awi”, from Awwamiyya town in Qatif.

The arrest happened during the return of al-Awi from his his workplace in Jubail city in the Eastern province on the Persian Gulf coast of Saudi Arabia.

Al-Awi’s family has no information about their son location, and had no explanation for his arrest.
