Ayatollah Sobhani advice Saudi rulers: Behave with Morality and Justice with Saudi Shiites, Apologize to Sheikh Al-Nimr

“Grand Ayatollah Haj Sheikh Jafar Sobhani” referred to the Saudi regime bogus charges against “Sheikh Al-Nimr” senior Saudi cleric, urged: “It is very clear that the charges are not legal issues, but ethnic”.
Grand Ayatollah referring to the Holy Prophet’s Hadith ” من سمع رجلا ینادی یا للمسلمین Ùˆ لم یجبه فلیس بمسلم; whoever hears the cries of a Muslim and he does not answer, is not a [true] Muslim,” said: “The life of Ayatollah Sheikh Al-Nimr with our Muslim brothers and his presence in Saudi Arabia is the best reason of being a peacemaker.”
“This peacemaker scholar wants peace rules the country, but in a condition that Shia – the followers of Ahlul Bayt (a.s) – not to be considered as second class,” Grand Ayatollah Sobhani add.
“Now, he’s charged with espionage, while this man’s whole life is piety, righteousness, teaching, and pulpit; a charge that everyone knows is bogus,” The Grand Ayatollah continued.
Grand Ayatollah Sobhani, stating that all the prophets and saints have been charged with such things throughout history, said: “They didn’t call the Messengers of Allah the thief and traitor, but charges such as liar, charmer and other proportion that is difficult to prove or deny.”
“Now Ayatollah Al-Nimr and sixteen scholars, doctors and engineers who are Saudi Arabian Shia faced with such charges which is very clear not a judicial issue, but ethnic,” He added.
Grand Ayatollah Sobhani preached Saudi rulers and said: “I’m saying from this pulpit to Saudi authorities that you have behaved with cruelty and harshness and got no result, let’s change schedule and come to justice, ethics and equal rights and adhere to the Shia citizens’ rights, then you’ll see what comes next is what you want.”
Addressed the Saudi rulers, continued: “Why have you taken oppressors’ way? Take Prophets and saints way. I hope the Saudi government listen my advice.”
Saudi Arabia must apologize “Sheikh Al-Nimr”
“Grand Ayatollah Sobhani” in an interview with ABNA, referring to the recent charges against Sheikh Al-Nimr and demand his execution said: “This type of baseless accusations against Ayatollah Al-Nimr is like false charges against prophets. Infidels call them liar or charmer because they cannot find a weak point in their life.”
“Now Saudi rulers accused Sheikh Al-Nimr who is religious and righteous man, so Saudi Arabia should apologize to him” the Ayatollah, told ABNA reporter on the sidelines of the exhibition of the holy shrine of Lady Masuma (PBUH).
Ayatollah Sobhani furthered: “It is impossible in the world that a judge and prosecutor being one person, but unfortunately, this is different in Saudi law.
Demanding execution of Sheikh al-Nimr
Prominent Shia Cleric “Hujjatul-Islam Sheikh Nimr Baqir Al-Nimr” last week, 8 months after his illegal detention, was present in Special Criminal Court to investigate terrorism cases in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
According to ABNA, the representative of the Attorney General indicted several charges against Sheikh Nimr Baqir Al-Nimr, most notably are “incentive in Qatif,” “draw foreign intervention and support of the uprising in Bahrain,” and asked the court to sentence 55-year Al-Nimr to death for Muharibah.
