Saudi prayer leader criticized the dual stance of western countries regarding the issues of the Muslim world noting while these governments immediately react to some issues in Muslim world, they keep a lenient approach to some others.

Seyyed Hashem al-Shakhs, prayer leader of Al-Ahsa in the eastern Saudi Arabia, demanded international bodies and western governments to indiscriminately maintain issues across the Muslim world including those in Afghanistan and Iraq.

He referred to the recent unrests in Syria and other Muslim countries saying, “Terror attacks in Syria is certainly denounced but why should the west ignore similar attacks in Afghanistan and Iraq while it projects those in Syria?”

Shia cleric from Saudi Arabia demanded international and human right bodies, Organization of the Islamic Countries Conference (OIC) and the Arab League (AL)the to react against the anti-human crisis in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Religious figure also stressed that western countries, in their approach towards Muslim world, merely maintain their own interests and the benefits of the Muslim world does not have the least importance for them.
