Saudi Wahhabi Police Blocked & Raided the Karbala Square of Al-Awwamiya City
On 4 December 2010 , the Saudi Wahhabi security authorities raided the Karbala Square of Al-Awwamiya city in Qatif .
The police harassed the people there who were busy of decorating the square with banners , sins and tents in preparation for commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Hussain during the holiday of Ashura , justifying the raid on the grounds of lack of mandated permits.The police failed to arrested the youth ( Jasim al- Awwami ) after a verbal argument with them , in stead of that , the police confiscated his identity card and his car license .
