The Spanish ABC newspaper revealed in a special report, published on Saturday, that the Saudi Crown, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, ordered the arrest of Basma bint Saud bin Abdul Aziz after her kidnapping from her home, while she was preparing to travel to Switzerland for treatment.

According to ABC newspaper, the princess has been held in Ha’ir prison outside Riyadh, which has been a high-security prison for a year. The newspaper, citing its sources, reported what happened on February 28, 2019, when the princess signed a contract with the airline, “Redstar”, for 80,000 euros, to transfer her to Switzerland for treatment.

The princess was arrested on February 28, 2019, after her relatives in power refused to allow her to travel to Switzerland, where she should have undergone medical treatment after suffering from heart problems. The princess had paid 80,000 euros ($ 90,000) to Redstar Aviation to get her out of the country on an air ambulance, and it seemed that the permits were ready, and that the private plane that she was carrying with her two daughters (Sarah and Sahood) from Jeddah was ready, but the plane never took off. According to the sources, 9 people were waiting for the princess at her home in Jeddah, where the video of the nine people was revealed.

In her interview with the newspaper, a close-up of the princess – whose name has not been mentioned – said: “These men told her that they were sent by the Royal Court, and that they came there because they had to take her to speak to her cousin, the crown prince, from the looks of their faces that Basma immediately learned that she would not see Mohammed bin Salman.”

Since then, the Princess has been held 108 cells in ward 9 of Al-Ha’ir Prison, and her two daughters were held in two other cells, and she was allowed to communicate with the outside world once a week. The same woman added that the princess “is very sick and asked for medical help, but they did not provide her to her.” Her parents are worried that they do not know how long she will be able to bear.

Princess Basma Bint Saud was famous for her articles from Europe about the conditions of Saudi women and political reforms. She, 56 years old, is a Saudi writer and media activist in the field of human rights. She has a special vision on Arab affairs and its interactions with international affairs in political, social and religious terms.

Basma’s close associates suspect that another reason for her detention is that she is not silent. In addition to her criticism of the war on Yemen and the treatment of women in Saudi Arabia, Mohammad Bin Salman has often been criticized. They had to be afraid in the government to leave the country and tell the media how they managed to get Bin Nayef to hand over the throne to his cousin. ”
