Palestinian man shot over alleged stabbing attack in West Bank
An Israeli settler has shot and injured a Palestinian man in the central part of the West Bank as tensions continue in the occupied Palestinian territories in the wake of US President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem al-Quds as the capital of Israel.
Israeli police claimed the Palestinian man, whose identity was not immediately available, was holding a screwdriver as a weapon and running after a passerby outside a gas station in Mishor Adumim industrial area, just outside Jerusalem al-Quds.
An Israeli driver, who was passing by, shot the Palestinian in the head. The alleged assailant was evacuated to Hadassah hospital in critical condition.
