Two Palestinians were martyred, and several others were injured on Saturday in the Israeli raid on Jenin, which targeted the towns of al-Silah al-Harithiya and Qabatiya. This marks yet another escalation in the ceaseless Israeli crimes in the occupied West Bank, which have sparked widespread outrage and calls for mobilization and confrontation.

Israeli forces stormed the town of al-Silah al-Harithiya, west of Jenin, firing live ammunition at residents. Ahmad Saed Shehadeh Zayoud, 22, was shot in the chest and later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. Three others were also wounded during the incursion.
In South Jenin, 16-year-old Rayan Mohammad Abdel Qader Abu Maala was martyred in Qabatiya after Israeli occupation forces deliberately shot him. Occupation soldiers prevented Red Crescent medics from reaching him, leaving him to bleed to death before his body was seized by the occupation.

Hamas: Escalating crimes demand wider Resistance
The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas issued a statement mourning the two martyrs and calling for an escalation of resistance across the West Bank.

“We mourn our martyr, the child Rayan Mohammad Abdel Qader Abu Maala, who was cold-bloodedly executed by the occupation forces in Qabatiya, and martyr Ahmad Saed Shehadeh Zayoud, who was killed by occupation gunfire in al-Silah al-Harithiya, west of Jenin,” Hamas stated. “These pure bloods will haunt the occupation and hasten its defeat from our land.”

Hamas stressed that the continued crimes of the Israeli occupation forces and settlers, including the execution of Palestinian civilians, require escalating popular anger and intensifying resistance actions.

The movement called on residents of the West Bank, especially its youth, to broaden efforts to confront occupation raids and settler violence, and to defend Palestinian communities and Islamic holy sites from ongoing aggression.
