Hamas has commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and urged solidarity among resistance movements in the region.
In a statement issued on the first anniversary of the assassination of Nasrallah by Israel, Hamas on Saturday paid tribute to Nasrallah and his fellow leaders.
“Our people and all resistance forces in Palestine and free people around the world recall September 27, the day the Zionist entity committed the crime of assassinating His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary-General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, and a constellation of his martyred fellow leaders, in an attempt to deter the Lebanese resistance from continuing to support and aid our Palestinian people and their valiant resistance,” Hamas said.
The resistance movement recognized Nasrallah’s contributions to the Palestinian resistance and highlighted that the sacrifices made by Hezbollah and its leaders are intertwined with the sacrifices of the Palestinian people, both working towards the common goal of liberating Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and Al-Aqsa.
“We recall with great appreciation and commendation the heroic and honorable stances and roles of His Eminence, the fighter, the Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in supporting, aiding, and backing the Palestinian resistance in its ongoing heroic battle (Al-Aqsa Flood),” Hamas said.
“Hamas expressed that the pattern of targeted assassinations by the Israeli entity has historically failed to diminish the resistance’s resolve,” stating that such acts of aggression have only strengthened their determination to achieve their objectives.
Additionally, Hamas extended its solidarity to Lebanon, which it described as facing oppression and aggression.
The resistance movement called upon Arab and Islamic nations to support Lebanon during this critical period, reinforcing the need for a united front against what they termed the occupation’s persistent threats.
The statement concluded with a call for cooperation among Arab and Islamic countries to bolster Lebanon’s resilience and ensure stability in the face of ongoing challenges.
