Gaza Sees Surge in Civilian Casualties Amid Intense Israeli Bombardment
The Israeli enemy forces continue their war of genocide against the Gaza Strip for the 692nd day, through aerial and artillery bombardment, killing the starving and displaced, with American political and military support, international silence, and unprecedented abandonment by the international community and Arab states.
In this context, Palestinian sources reported that “several civilians were martyred and dozens were injured as a result of the Israeli occupation army’s bombing of various parts of the Gaza Strip since dawn on Thursday.” They continued: “The child, Aisha Ahmed Al-Shaer, succumbed to her wounds, joining her mother and brother in a previous Israeli bombing of their home in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.”
The sources indicated that “Al-Awda Hospital received five martyrs over the past 24 hours, including a woman and a child, and 17 wounded, including three children and a woman, as a result of the occupation’s bombing of civilian gatherings at the aid distribution point south of Wadi Gaza.”
The sources added: “A citizen was seriously injured in an Israeli bombing of a residential apartment near the Palestine Tower on Shuhada Street in Gaza City.” They continued: “A child was also injured after a suicide drone launched by the occupation targeted a tent housing displaced persons in the Shati refugee camp in Gaza City.” They noted that “enemy vehicles opened fire on Thursday morning at those seeking American aid near the Shakoush area, northwest of Rafah.”
Israeli occupation forces also opened fire on individuals seeking aid northwest of Rafah, sources reported. Meanwhile, Israeli helicopters and gunboats were active near Khan Yunis and the coast off Rafah, firing shells and flares.
Additional fatalities were confirmed throughout the day. Citizen Anwar Rawhi al-Shabrawi was martyred in the bombing near the Palestine Tower, and Saeed al-Harazin was killed by Israeli fire in the central Gaza Strip. In the al-Bureij refugee camp, a woman and her child were killed when an Israeli airstrike targeted a family home.
With unwavering American support, Israeli enemy forces are waging a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, which has so far left 62,895 martyrs, 158,927 injured, more than 10,000 missing, and a famine that has claimed the lives of dozens. Meanwhile, more than two million Palestinians are living in conditions of forced displacement amid widespread destruction.
