Israel threatens the demolition of 20,000 homes in Jerusalem

Israel’s Mayor of Jerusalem, Nir Barakat, on Thursday threatened the demolition of 20,000 homes in Occupied Jerusalem under the pretext of unlicensed construction.

“The number of houses and structures being knocked down in Western Jerusalem is actually twice the number in Eastern Jerusalem,” Nir Barakat claimed.

He denied intents to implement an Israeli pedagogy or curriculum in East Jerusalem schools in the next academic year.

“The strategic Israeli education plan is never compulsory on any one. Nobody in Jerusalem will be taught in a manner that he/she does not accept. The learner is free to choose the curriculum he/she wants,” he further claimed.
