Pakistan attends ECO Science Foundation meeting in Isfahan

Pakistan is participating in the 5th meeting of Board of Trustees members of the Economic Cooperation Organization Science Foundation (ECOSF) that began in Isfahan today.
Most importantly, 15 members plus 30 directors will meet on Tuesday at specialised forums.
There, ministers of science and technology of Pakistan and Iran, ECO secretary general and member states delegates will attend.

Furthermore, Executive Director of the ECOSF, Komeil Hosseini briefed reporters on the huddle. He said that executive committee of the foundation would discuss the joint scientific plans.

There, ministers of science and technology of Pakistan and Iran will also attend huddle Tuesday.

He also said that ECOSF would elect a new president and also discuss the scientific challenges of the member states.

Moreover, the ECOSF would also discuss the ECO regional programs for science and technology as per agenda of meeting.

Most importantly, ECO, with its 360 million people (one fourth of the world Muslim population) is the biggest economic body of the Muslim world.
The ECOSF, an inter-governmental organization, comprises of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Turkey and Iran.

The 10 Muslim countries’ foundation aims to contribute to economic development with promotion of science, technology and innovation.
