Prime Minister Imran Khan all sets to retain General Bajwa as Pak Army Chief

Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to retain General Qamar Javed Bajwa as Chief of the Army Staff granting him service extension.
A private news channel report claimed that Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken decision to extend the service of General Bajwa as COAS.

However, Mr. Bajwa wants to retire on completion on his tenure as Pakistan Army Chief.

A senior journalist has made this claim.

But, he hastened to add that Imran Khan would request COAS to reconsider his decision.

He said Prime Minister Khan believes the country needs General Bajwa’s services due to serious security related challenges.

Most importantly, the analyst also referred to the inclusion of Army Chief in National Development Council as its member.

He said Prime Minister’s decision to include him in NDC a signal that Pakistan needs his services.
