IED blast kills four soldiers of Pak Army in North Waziristan

A roadside bomb explosion near the Afghan border killed at least four soldiers and injured four others of Pakistan Army.
An army spokesman said that a security force convoy was traveling through the Kharkamar area of the remote North Waziristan district.

Then, an improvised explosive device that terrorists had planted on the road hit their vehicle.
Due to that blast, a lieutenant colonel, a major, a captain and another personnel embraced martyrdom.

Most importantly, North Waziristan district has witnessed surge in such incidents.

The martyrs included Lt Col Raashid Karim Baig, resident of Karimabad, Hunza, Major Moeez Maqsood Baig from Karachi and Captain Arif Ullah from Lakki Marwat. Fourth matyr Lance Havaldar Zaheer from Chakwal.

The military noted the blast took place in an area where security forces had conducted search operations.

It further noted that the army arrested a few facilitators of recent terrorist attacks.

Most importantly, North Waziristan district has witnessed surge in such incidents. During the last month has killed at least 10 soldiers and injured 35 others.
