CTD Punjab foils terrorist bid to bomb Youm-e-Ali mourning processions in Sialkot and Dera Ghazi Khan.
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted separate operations on intelligence report in Sialkot and Dera Ghazi Khan. During those raids, they arrested three terrorists belonging to outlawed takfiri Deobandi terrorist group.
The cops conducted an operation in Hajipura area of Sialkot and arrested two terrorists.
A CTD spokesperson identified arrested terrorists as Abu Bakr and Yousuf.
Separately, the CTD conducted an operation in Dera Ghazi Khan and arrested one terrorist Sadaqat.
Furthermore, the CTD spokesperson informed that the arrested terrorists belonged to a banned organization. And they were planning to carry out terrorist attacks on Youm-e-Ali processions.
Moreover, the CTD personnel also recovered hand grenades and explosive material from their possession.
Later, the arrested terrorists were shifted to some undisclosed location for further investigation.
