Diplomat foresees enhanced Pakistan-Iran cooperation thru Prime Minister’s visit

Veteran Pakistani diplomat Tehmina Janjua has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s forthcoming visit would further enhance the cooperation between Pakistan and Iran. Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Iran visit is immensely important for bilateral relations, she said, talking to the media in Islamabad

Tehmina Janjua, who has served in Ministry of Foreign Affairs for thirty-five years prior to retirement, said the visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan, was long-awaited. She cited foreign minister of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif has visited Pakistan two times since the formation of new government in the country.
PM Khan’s visit is taking place in the context of regional outreach, she said, adding that Pakistan share very long border with Iran and both countries enjoy close brotherly relations. She strongly believed the visit would prove to be useful for the ties between Iran and Pakistan.
Prime Minister Imran Khan will pay a two-day official visit to Iran beginning from April 21.
