Daesh terrorist of Karachi arrested in CTD raid in Abbottabad
Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police arrested a terrorist during a raid in an Abbottabad neighbourhood.
Daesh takfiri Deobandi terrorist Mujeebur Rehman hailed from Karachi but he was arrested in Abbottabad.
The CTD officials say Mujeeb is involved in terrorist activities in Karachi and Balochistan, including target killing, bomb blasts, and bank robberies.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) had earlier on March 21 arrested at least four terrors during raids in different areas of Karachi.
CTD official said that during the initial investigations, they confessed to their involvement in the killing of more than 13 people on the directions of their party. They were identified as Muhammad Irfan, Naimat Ali, Salman Hashmi, and Nasir.
The official said that Muhammad Irfan was associated with Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and the rest of three were affiliated with Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London.
He said that the MQM-London target killers had killed a JI activist, Muhammad Azhar in 2010, ARY reported. The official they were involved in target killing, extortion and other heinous crimes and added that many cases were registered against the suspects in different police stations.
