BBC Urdu misquoted, misreported Matloob Mousavi enforced disappearance

Syed Minhaj Mousavi, himself a journalist, has rebuffed all assertions attributed to him that he had linked his journalist brother’s undeclared and illegal detention with probe of any terror case, saying all such claims are untrue.

Matloob’s brother Minhaj and Matloob’s family clarified that they never said it and even now they don’t know why Matloob was illegally detained and subjected to enforced disappearance. But, they added, they too want to know why Matloob was subjected to this illegal and undeclared action by security officials.
BBC Urdu misquoted and misreported many points attributing to Minhaj Mousavi which Minhaj clarified he never said.
It was the question of BBC Urdu correspondent whether his brother’s enforced disappearance was linked to recent terror attack, he responded, there could be anything behind it. He never said his brother was taken away because of any sort of probe of anything. He never said so.
It is relevant to add here that a journalist Matloob Mousavi and a cameraman of a news channel were taken into undeclared illegal custody and since then banned terror outfits have begun spreading malicious propaganda.
