Pakistanis in Iran will get their passport renewed for one year

Foreign Ministry and Director General Immigration and Passports has allowed renewal by one year of the passports of Pakistanis living in Iran after Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen leadership brought to grievances of such Pakistanis to the notice of MOFA in Islamabad.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) clarified that due to some technical faults and problems in issuance of computerised passports in Iran.
The Director General Immigration and Passports has notified the manual renewal of passports of Pakistani in Iran for one year. Pakistanis may get renewed their passports in Iran on payment of Rs 400 ordinary and Rs 800 urgent fee for one year renewal.
MWM sources said that Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari and his political affairs team played role in resolving the issue. They talked to the concerned high officials and a way out was decided.
Pakistanis living in Iran were longing for renewal of passports on expiry of the old passports for last nine months. Mostly, Pakistani students and scholars and their families living in Tehran, Qom and Isfahan were suffering due to expiry of duration of their legal stay in Iran for this reason.
