Martyrdom anniversary of Bibi Fatima Zahra to be observed on Saturday

Shia Muslims of Pakistan will hold on Saturday special mourning congregations and processions to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Bibi Fatima Zahra (SA), the daughter of Prophet of Islam and Humanity Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH).

Since moon of Jamadi-us-Sani has not been sighted last night, the moon sighting committee of Pakistan has announced that the first Jamadi-us-Sani will fall on Thursday. Hence, the third Jamadi-us-Sani will fall on Saturday.
Shia Muslims observe weeks-long programmes on Ayyam-e-Fatmiyah from Jamadi ul Awwal 14 to Jamadi-us-Sani 20. The latter date is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatima (AS), the leader of women in heavens.
