Islamabad-based political analyst and anchorperson Farrukh Pitafi has said that popular sentiment in Pakistan remains sympathetic to Iran and against the United States on the issue of Trump’s unilateral withdrawal from nuclear deal.

“The hearts of Pakistani citizens and Iranians are one. And I do not exaggerate,” he said in and interview, adding that unity among Muslims and defiance of foreign-inflicted suffering in the Muslim countries are some of the ideas that find a lot of traction in Pakistan and Iran. Policies of governments can change but one thing cannot that the two nations’ hearts are one.
He said that the actual question before intelligentsia is of the paradigm because every individual use to view the world from his own angle. There are those who see things in the light of realpolitik and also there are those who think a better world is possible. To the latter, every setback offers a new opportunity. Therefore, US sanctions also brought opportunities.
