ASWJ Mengal group terrorist involved in Shia genocide released
Banned Deobandi takfiri terrorist outfit ASWJ (Sipah-e-Sahaba) ringleader Abdul Kabeer Shakir who was involved in Shia genocide in Quetta has been released after having spent three years behind the bars. Soon after the formation of new government, Shia Muslims see continued pro-terrorists policy under the PTI-led government too.
Abdul Kabeei Shakir, a close aide and abettor of notorious terrorist Ramzan Mengal, had been providing all needed support to an organized gang of terrorists comprising of the Balochistan University students and led by a student of the same university. They were given financial help by the more established sectarian organizations (ASWJ and affiliates).
In 2015, then the gang was busted, Police had said that a leader of outlawed ASWJ, Abdul Kabeer Shakir, was providing financial and other assistance to said young assassins. After the gang was busted, he went underground. The law enforcement agencies also arrested his father, and sent him a stern message, asking him to surrender. Then he was nabbed and put behind the bars.
A source in law-enforcement said the people involved in sectarian killings usually received training at a bordering village named Bramcha. Most of the terrain of the village is barren mountains, making it extremely difficult for the security forces to carry out a clean-
Quoting an alleged assassin, an investigator said one member of the group was at a NADRA office to renew his identity card when he saw a member of the Shia Hazara community ahead of him in the queue. He was furious, and shouted, “I don’t want your identity card if you will also give one to this infidel.” The very next day, the group carried out an attack on the office, killing four NADRA officials.
Quetta police had busted that network of young university graduates who had confessed to at least 30 hit-and-run attacks on Shia Muslims.
