A former ringleader of outlawed Deobandi takfiri outfit Ismail Darvesh was gunned down with his guard at the Phandu area of Peshawar on Thursday night.

The law enforcement authority said that the motorcyclists opened fire at his vehicle. Ismail succumbed to his bullet wounds before reaching the hospital for immediate medical treatment, said a spokesperson of Lady Reading Hospital.
Outlawed Sipah-e-Sahaba aka ASWJ or Lashkar-e-Jhangvi has a history of internal fighting that led to murders of rival groups with their organisation. One such example was of Shamsur Reham who was killed in Lahore due to internal fighting by estranged comrades. Malik Ishaq group was blamed for that killing.
Even the son of its founder Haq Nawaz Jhangvi was killed by Sipah-e-Sahaba terrorists themselves. So, it is believed Ismail Darvesh too was murdered by the terrorists of his own party.
