Diplomats offer fateha at General Musa’s grave in premises of Imam Reza Shrine
Iranian friends and lovers of Pakistan at Tasnim News Agency arranged a visit of Pakistani diplomats and like-minded notables a to the grave of former Pakistan Army Chief General Musa, a Shia Hazara who was buried within the premises of sacred shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Iranian holy city Mashhad according to his will.
They laid floral wreaths and offered fateha at the grave of General Musa, the great warrior of Pakistan who bravely fought imposed wars for the sake of Pakistan. He was Army Chief during 1965 war and Pakistani nation remembers those soldiers as national heroes and pay tributes to them on Defence Day on September 6 every year.
Dr Mohammad Taqi Sadeghi, Chief Editor Tasnim News (Urdu) and Mashhad-based diplomatic staff of Pakistan visited the grave and remained there for quite some time.
“General Musa had adored infallible Imam Reza (AS) and for that reason he wanted to be laid to rest in the holy shrine of Imam Reza. Now, he is guest of Islamic Republic of Iran,” Dr Sadeqhi said.
General Musa was known for his love to Ahl-e-Bait (AS), the infallible family of Prophet of Islam and humanity and was an avid reader of Quran and Nahjul Balagha. He had been urging his juniors and comrades to take lessons from Quran and Nahjul Balagha.
Wife of General Musa was also buried in the premises of Imam Reza shrine. She was martyred during his life.
After his retirement as Army Chief, he was appointed Governor West Pakistan. Since 1985 to his death in 1991, he remained Governor Balochistan.
