Millions of mourners observe Ashura across Pakistan

ashura kaarchiMuharram 10th major mourning processions in all key cities across the country have reached or getting so close to conclusion and Sham-e-Ghariban gatherings and addresses started on this Yaum-e-Ashur evening, Shiite News reported on Tuesday.

Every year Yaum-e-Ashur is observed with religious fervor and reverence in commemoration of great sacrifices rendered by martyrs led by the grandson of Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him), Hazrat Imam Hussain (as.) on the scorching desert of Kerbala.

Hazrat Imam Hussain (as.) presented such a great incomparable sacrifice this day in 61 year of Hijrah on the plains of Kerbala that is supreme and unsurpassed in the history of human being across the globe. 

Karachi’s central procession emerged this morning from Nishtar Park, where various other small mourning rallies also merged into this large procession with devotees of Hazrat Imam Hussain (as) mourning and doing matam.

After travelling on its set route, Karachi’s central mourning procession concluded at Hussania Iranian Imam Bargah in Kharadar this evening.

Later on, Sham-e-Ghariban gatherings started throughout the city and hundreds of thousands sad and crying devotees are attending those.

Lahore’s central procession of Shabih-e-Zuljinah was set out from Nisar Haveli with soaring sounds of Ya Hussain Ya Hussain as, Ya Abbas Ya Abbas as. 

The procession marched on fixed route through various areas and finally ended at Kerbala Gamay Shah, where Sham-e-Ghariban address started.

Rawalpindi’s central procession moved from Imambargha Ashiq Hussain. The mourners said Hazrat Imam Hussain (as) was the torch-bearer of divine power and he raised high the flag of Islam for all time to come.

In Peshawar, more than ten processions were taken out; of them, the large processions of Alam and Zuljinnah came out from Imambargah Jaan Muhammed, Alam Shah and Imambargah Hyder Shah. All these processions marched on set routes and finally concluded at their respective destinations.

Quetta’s central procession appeared from Imambargah Punjabi Alamdar Road and it finished travel after reaching to its final destination at Nachari Road. 

Hundreds of thousands saddened, crying mourners and devotees, across the country and world over, paid humble and heartiest tributes to the unmatchable sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (as) and other martyrs of Kerbala.

After conclusion of processions, Sham-e-Ghariban gatherings and addresses started every where.
