Pakistanis shocked over Foreign Office uncalled for support to Saudi Kingdom against Canada

Foreign Office Spokesman Dr Muhammad Faisal’s statement against Canada and support to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has left Pakistani nation in shock and dismay.

Canada remains open for Pakistanis and diaspora settled in Canada enjoys more freedom as compared to Saudi Kingdom where Pakistanis are suffering due to violation of their rights as workers/employees and they have to face extra taxes while many have been jailed when they protested against non-payment of their salaries.
Instead of defending Pakistanis rights in Saudi kingdom and instead of expressing dislike to Saudi kingdom’s anti-Pakistanis policies, Foreign Office has backed Saudi Kingdom against Canada despite the fact that Pakistan’s interests were not harmed by Canadian government.
Entire Pakistani nation excluding a few proxies of the intolerant Wahhabi kingdom is on same page against the dictatorial hereditary monarchy who has imposed unjustifiable war on Yemen and continues to violate Yemen’s sovereignty.
“Pakistan stands by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in protecting its sovereignty as a matter of principle and based on the historic and brotherly relations between our two countries,” the spokesman said.
The spat between Saudi Arabia and Canada started after Canada’s Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland tweeted to demand release of women’s rights activist Samar Badawi. Later, the Canadian government called for immediate release of jailed activists.
The Saudi government took strong exception to the Canadian criticism of the treatment of rights activists in the Kingdom and expelled Canada’s ambassador besides recalling its own ambassador from Ottawa.
Pakistanis believe that neutrality and silence should have been observed by Pakistan government in this dispute.
