Lahore High Court bench referred a petition challenging the nomination papers of outlawed Sipah-e-Sahaba (ASWJ) ringleader M Ahmad Ludhianvi to the Chief Justice for its disposal by another appropriate bench.

The same bench heard the case of Sheikh Waqas Akram but referred the plea against terrorist Ludhianvi to the Chief Justice.
The petitioner Fida Hussain has said that Ludhianvi did not disclose the details of his assets and also the criminal cases registered against him. He said appellate tribunal had also allowed Ludhianvi to contest the election to National Assembly from NA-115 and Punjab Assembly from PP-126 (Jhang). The petitioner asked the court to set aside that impugned decisions.
