JUI-F withdraws in favour of Islami Tehreek/MMA contestant in Quetta

Deobandi party JUI-F Balochistan-based leaders have announced withdrawal of their candidate in favour of a candidate of Allama Sajid Naqvi’s Islami Tehreek Pakistan who has been fielded as a candidate of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) in a constituency from Quetta City.

“JUI-F had wanted that Mufti Rozi Khan should contest Elections for PB-27 but MMA leadership awarded candidacy of our alliance to Liaquat Ali Hazara of Islamic Tehreek hence JUI-F candidate Mufti Rozi is withdrawing,” said Hafiz Hamdullah of JUIF, addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club.
Liaquat Ali Hazara’s nomination to contest elections is due to the fact that the constituency has a sizeable vote-bank of Persian-speaking Hazara Shia community.
