Eidul Fitr being celebrated with religious zeal and fervour across Pakistan

Sunni and Shia Muslims are celebrating Eidul-Fitr across Pakistan with religious zeal and fervour, with sweetmeats and savouries.

Eid prayers were offered at mosques and Eidgahs in all cities and towns of the country. Special prayers were offered for the well-being of the country while in sermons the Ulema will highlight the significance of Eidul Fitr.
All Muslims observe fast during the holy month of Ramazan and after the daily fast, they observe Eidul Fitr on the first day of the month of Shawwal after the month of Ramzan as per Islamic lunar calendar.
They wear new suits and elders give Eidi (special pocket money) to youngsters. Eidul Fitr is the most celebrated festival in Muslim countries such as Pakistan.
