Interior Ministry warns about possible threats of attack on Muharram processions in Karachi
 Government of Pakistan on Saturday (7th Muharram) put security forces across the metropolis (Karachi) on “High alert” due to threats of suicide bombings and terror attacks in the processions of 8th, and 9th Muharram and Central Ashura procession to mark the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (as), grandson of Prophet Mohammad (pbhu).
Sources informed told the Shiite News that the Ministry of Interior on Saturday issued threat alert in Karachi about possible terrorists attack in the metropolis within next 72 hours.
The Ministry of Interior in a letter warned the authorities concern to adopt stern security measures to foil any attempt of terrorism in Karachi ahead of Youm-e-Ashura.
The ministry directed the officials to convey the Shia leaders and clerics about the possible threat of attack and Suicide bombings in Karachi on Youm-e-Ashura and 8th and 9th Muharram processions.
