Hundreds of thousands attend main Quds Day rally in Karachi

The International Quds Day’s main rally in Pakistan was taken out from the Numaish Chowrangi to the Tibet Centre in Karachi today on Friday as the speakers called for united struggle of Muslim nations to liberate occupied al-Quds and rest of occupied Palestine from the illegitimate occupation of fake state of Israel. Karachi’s rally was fourth largest rally of Quds Day across the world.

Hundreds of thousands of people, including women and children, attended the rally. They were wearing headbands inscribed with Allah-o-Akbar and carrying flags. The participants also burnt the flags of Israel and the US. The marchers vowing to keep on observing the day till the liberation of Palestine. Participants of the rally raised slogans against the United States and Israel.
Renowned Shia religious scholar Allama Amin Shaheedi, Imamia Students Organisation president Ansar Mehdi, senior cleric and MWM leader Allama Mirza Yousuf Hussain, MWM leader Allama Sadiq Jafari, Allama Nasim and Sunni party JUP-N leader Allama Aqeel Anjum Qadri spoke at the main Quds Day rally in Karachi.
They said that no threat would deter them from their just struggle. They said Quds Day rallies across Pakistan and around the world vindicated the pro-Palestinian stance against Zionist regime of Israel. They said attendance in the rally is also a referendum against Zionist forces.
The rally was organised by the Imamia Students Organisation (ISO) and Tehreek-e-Azadi-e-Quds in collaboration with Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen. People were chanting the slogans against the United States and Israel for their crimes against humanity in occupied Palestine including war crimes.
A call for observing Jummatul Wida as Al-Quds Day had been given by Grand Ayatollah Imam Khomeini against the occupation of Palestine and to condemn and foil the alleged conspiracies hatched by the US and Israel against the Muslim Ummah.
Allama Shaheedi lauded the participation of people in the al-Quds rally saying that the followers of Imam Hussain (AS) once again foiled the attempt of Zionist agents through participating in the Al-Quds rally. He commended the resistance put up by Hezbollah, Palestinian forces, and other resistance groups against Israeli occupation forces and said the Zionist forces were bound to face defeat at the hands of the brave and courageous liberation forces.
He said that the Jihad against the very existence of Israel would not let the dream of the Zionist state come true and asked the Muslim world to be united against the conspiracies of America and Israel against Palestine and Muslim world.
ISO Central President Ansar Mehdi urged that all Muslim nations should remain united in struggle against the Zionist culprits and for liberation of Palestine.
They denounced the Saudi-led alliance, saying that they should fight war for liberation of Palestine and Kashmir instead of imposing wars in Yemen, Syria or on any Muslim country.
