Worldwide congregations to mourn Imam Ali’s martyrdom anniversary begin

Shia Muslims across the world begin annual mourning to mark the anniversary of martyrdom of the infallible Imam Ali (AS) in their respective countries including Pakistan.

Since Imam Ali (AS) was attacked at Fajr prayers on Ramazan 19 and he was injured hence Shia Muslims begin their annual mourn on Shab-e-Zarbat that was held yesterday in Pakistan, Iran, Iraq and other countries.
The mourning will continue till Ramazan 21 when Imam Ali embraced martyrdom. Congregations and processions are being held to mark the martyrdom anniversary.
Imam Ali is first infallible Imam of Shia Islam. He was the cousin of Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH), the last apostle of God and Prophet of Islam.
