Allama Sajid demands Gilgit-Baltistan province with seats in Parliament

Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, chief of Shia Ulema Council and Islami Tehreek Pakistan, has urged the Pakistan government to make Gilgit-Baltistan a full-fledged administrative unit (province) with its due representation in the both chambers of bicameral Parliament of the country.

Talking to delegations from G-B, he said, Gilgit-Baltistan Order 2018 was not adequate to sort out the problems of Gilgit-Baltistan therefore government needs to respect wishes of people of Gilgit-Baltistan and also keep in view the Supreme Court’s verdict in this regard.
Allama Sajid said that people of Gilgit-Baltistan and their region should be accorded full constitutional status and rights like rest of Pakistan.
