Allama Imami criticizes government for power outages in Ramazan
Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen spokesman Allama Mukhtar Imami has denounced the federal government for unabated power outages even during holy month of Ramazan.
“The undeclared load-shedding by power supply companies has exposed the empty claims of the government,” he said in a statement on Saturday.
Allama Imami said that a government minister had claimed there was more production of electricity than its consumption. He asked why power supply remains suspended for hours if you have enough electricity.
He said that people of urban Sindh face 7-8 hour outages and rural areas consumer suffer due to up to 12 hours outages. He asked the relevant authorities that at least they should ensure uninterrupted power supply during Iftar and Sehri timings.
