Electoral alliance with lesser evil to be preferred: MWM Chief

Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen secretary general Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari has said that they are exploring electoral alliance with some parties to participate in Elections 2018 and they will prefer lesser evil to the parties dominated by notorious corrupt bigwigs.

In an interview, he said, there was no ideal situation in Pakistan and you have to choose between lesser and major evils and you are under compulsion with no other choice. Hence, he said, electoral alliance or adjustments would be made with lesser evil or less bad parties or individuals.
Allama Raja Nasir said MWM would field its own candidates on some constituencies and join hands with others in other constituencies.
“MWM wants educated, honest and enlightened moderate people should be elected as legislators. Such people who qualify under articles 62 and 63 will be capable to drive country out of crisis by their dedicated service and struggle,” he said.
Answering a question, he said, both PML-N and PPP had ditched Shia Muslims hence Shiites want those people should be trusted whose past record should not be replete with cheating and stabbing in the back. He disclosed that talks were held with leaders of PPP and PTI also but nothing was final so far.
