Shia Muslims celebrate birth anniversary of the world saviour Imam Mahdi (AS)

Shia Muslims celebrate the birth anniversary of the world saviour Imam Mahdi (AS) across the world including Pakistan. Special prayers were held at the night of Neemeh Shaaban.

In Pakistan and India, Shiites hold mushaira where poets recite poems to eulogize the sacred and infallible personality of Hazrat Imam Mahdi (A), the only infallible Imam of the time who has been in occultation since the age of 5 years. Shiite News Correspondent reported here that all Shia areas were decorated like bridegroom. Streets, houses, mosques and Imam Bargahs were illuminated.

Shiites recited Dua-e-Kumail and other prays of Neemeh Shaaban. They offered recommended prayers and also gave sadqas to deserving persons and Eidi to the children. Shia Muslims celebrate 15th of Shaaban as a day of festival around the world.

Iranians gathered at Masjid-e-Jamkaran in the holy city of Qom where they recited Dua-e-Nudba. In Iraq, Shiites gathered at Masjid-e-Sahla and Masjid-e-Burassa. These three mosques are attributed to the 12th infallible Imam Mahdi (AS).
