MWM stages rally and sit-in to protest against Shia genocide

Thousands of Shiites marched through streets of Incholi and staged a sit-in on Shahrah-e-Pakistan to protest against the Shia genocide.

Shiite News Correspondent reported here that the rally and the sit-in were staged on Thursday night under the aegis of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen. Traffic leading to main superhighway was suspended for 3 or 4 hours due to peaceful protest.  

Women, children, elderly persons and youths participated in the rally and the sit-in that was held under tight security by police and rangers.

Allama Nisar Qalandari, Allama Mubashir Hassan, Allama Jafar Raza and Engineer Raza Naqvi spoke to the protestors. They condemned the Yazidi takfiri terrorists of banned Sipah-e-Sahaba/Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and Taliban for genocide against Shia Muslims. They urged the Sindh Government to play its role to eliminate the terrorists.

They said that targeted murder of Mazhar Abbas was another proof that the terrorists have no mercy for ordinary law abiding Shia citizens hence they said that the terrorists don’t deserve mercy. They urged the Prime Minister to order military to being operation to liquidate the terrorists.

The Shia religious scholars and MWM officials demanded of the federal government, Sindh Government and the PEMRA to take notice of blasphemous broadcasts by some channels. They said that a media group’s channel perpetrated blasphemy hence action be taken against the relevant officials.
