MWM: Target killings to be reduced if 1 million Karachi’ites come out on streets
Allama Amin Shaheedi, deputy secretary general of Majlis-e-Wahdat0-e-Muslimeen has asserted that targeted killings would be reduced if the Karachi’ites come out of streets to vent their anger.
He expressed these views while speaking at gatherings of the supporters in different areas of Karachi on Monday. He visited Incholi, Shah Faisal, Malir, Steel Town, Surjani, Gulbahar, Rizvia, Nazimabad and other parts during his 4 days stay in the city.
“It is matter of grave concern that people and Ulema remain silent. I appeal to Sunni and Shiites if they want to defeat enemies, at least 1 million of them should come out on streets, targeted murders and other crimes will be reduced soon,” he said.
Allama Shaheedi urged people to organize them and join hands with each other to strengthen their defence. He said that there was no sectarian tension between Sunni and Shia Muslims but a particular group and mindset was trying to create such an impression.
“The rulers have brought a bad name to Pakistan by violating the ideology of Pakistan in its policies. Pro-imperialists policies have isolated Pakistan around the world,” he said.
He visited the houses of Shia martyrs and shared condolence with the heirs and relatives of the martyrs namely Khurram, Hassan Kashmiri, Sajjad Mehdi, Mukhtar Rizvi, Gohar Rizvi and Ghulam Hussain. He assured the heirs and relatives of his and MWM’s all out support and cooperation to the dependents.
The MWM’s deputy secretary general also spoke at Majlis on martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali Naqi al-Hadi (AS) under the aegis of the MWM Central, Martyr Conference under the auspices of the ISO and Celebrations on Birth Anniversaries of the Infallibles under the aegis of the MWM East chapter.
