SUC-General-Council-2014Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, Chief of Shia Ulema Council, paid 200 visits in all over Pakistan during last two years, Shia Ulema Council’s general council was informed at a bi-annual moot in Islamabad.

Shiite News Correspondent reported from Islamabad that the 3-days General Council meeting was held at Jamia Imam Sadiq where more participants were seen as compared to last such meeting two years ago.

Several sessions included performance reports, accountability and lectures on numerous topics. Allama Arif Wahidi, Secretary General of the SUC briefed the general council about Allama Sajid Naqvi’s performance.

He said that among 200 visits, people of Sindh were more enthusiastic in their welcome receptions and other programmes such as processions, rallies and meetings. He said that Allama Sajid also visited Quetta and endorsed the decisions of Quetta Yakjehti Council. It is an amazing claim because Quetta Solidarity Council is an independent body and not a subsidiary of Allama Sajid Naqvi’s party.

Allama Sajid Naqvi briefed the journalists about the general council meeting. He said that the PMLN government was patronizing the banned Yazidi takfiri nasbi outfits such as Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and Sipah-e-Sahaba. He said that the Constitution guarantees protection to Shia Muslims of Pakistan and if the government fails to protect the lives of Shia Muslims, rulers would be held responsible for the consequences.

Jamia Imam Sadiq was decorated with flags, buntings and banners of Shia Ulema Council that is one of the two major Shia parties in Pakistan. The other Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen also holds its programmes at same Jamia Imam Sadiq that reflects the unity and cohesion of Shia seminaries.
