Anniversary of Ustad Sibt-e-Jafar’s martyrdom being observed
First anniversary of martyrdom of renowned Soz Khwan and educationist “Ustad” Professor Sibt-e-Jafar is being observed with reverence in Karachi.
Shiite News Correspondent reported here on Tuesday that Shia Muslims kept holding congregations in remembrance of great martyr Sibt-e-Jafar who was assassinated in Yazidi terrorist attack in Liaquatabad on March 18, 2013.
His family hosted the anniversary programme at Imam Bargah Shah-e-Karbala Rizvia Society where renowned scholar Allama Razi Jafar Naqvi spoke. He highlighted the salient features of the life of Professor Sibt-e-Jafar Zaidi.
Another congregation was held at Pak Moharram Hall where Maulana Naqi Hashmi spoke on Monday night. He said that martyr Sibt-e-Jafar was an intellectual.
“Sibt-e-Jafar oxygenated Urdu marsia and soz khwani. He disseminated the message of righteousness and piety of Ahl-e-Bait (peace be upon them) through his poetry. He left behind a number of pupils who continue his mission,” he said.
Maulana Hashmi said that the legacy of Professor Sibt-e-Jafar is educating people about the true Islam and infallible leaders of Islam so that they should follow the infallibles as role models.
