MWM wrans gherao of Bilawal House PPP offices if Allama Imami not released

allama rajanasirMajlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen’s leadership has warned the PPP leadership that they would surround the Bilawal House and Pakistan Peoples Party’s offices across Pakistan if Allama Mukhtar Imami and other arrested members of the MWM were not released forthwith.

Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, secretary general of the MWM, made this announcement after the arrest of Allama Imami along with 60 Shia youths from Mumtaz Stadium Khairpur while they were making arrangements for “Labbaik Ya Rasoolullah (PBUH) Conference.”

The supporters of the MWM have come out on streets in many towns on a call or protest against the unjustifiable arrest of the MWM’s officials. Shops were closed in Matli, Talhar, Qazi Ahmed and many other towns of Sindh province to press the government to release Allama Imami and other arrested officials.

Khairpur is home district of Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah but it has become a safe haven of the Taliban affiliate Ahl-e-Sunnat wal Jamaat, renamed version of banned Sipah-e-Sahaba. The PPP government and Khairpur administration had earlier allowed the banned ASWJ/Sipah-e-Sahaba to hold its pro-terrorism conference in Khairpur. Therefore, Shiites have rejected Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s anti-Taliban rhetoric saying that his words don’t match the actions of his party.

Allama Jafari warned that the government and the PPP leadership would be held responsible for the consequences of anti-peace and pro-terrorists policies against which the MWM and its Sunni allies were going to hold Labbaik Ya Rasoolullah (PBUH) Conference.
