Allama Sajid Naqvi’s party preparing to contest Gilgit-Baltistan elections
Allama Sajid Naqvi’s Islami Tehrik Pakistan and Shia Ulema Council began preparing to contest elections to Gilgit-Baltistan’s legislative assembly that will be held this year.
Shiite News Correspondent from Rawalpindi reported here that the issue of the GB legislative assembly elections came under discussion at a meeting of Allama Shaikh Mirza Ali of the GB province with the SUC’s secretary general Allama Arif Wahidi at the headquarter of Allama Sajid’s party.
Allama Shaikh Mirza Ali briefed Allama Wahidi about latest situation of the GB province. Both leaders expressed satisfaction of their efforts for the unity of people of Gilgit-Baltistan.
The SUC secretary general accepted Allama Mirza’s invitation to visit the GB province. He said that his party attached importance to the Gilgit-Baltistan. He vowed that his party would contest elections and the party workers were asked to intensify their efforts on electioneering.
