Pakistani leaders hail success of Islamic Revolution

pak iranSenior Pakistani politicians and members of different segments of society on Tuesday hailed the success of the Islamic Revolution and said that despite many challenges Iran is heading towards prosperity.

At a reception hosted by Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to mark the 35th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, eminent Pakistani leaders also stressed the need for close Iran-Pakistan relations in all fields.

Chief Guest on the occasion, Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions Abdul Qadir Baloch said that it’s a great day not only for the Iranians but also for the entire Islamic Ummah. “Islamic Revolution was a great revolution that brought complete changes in the Iranian society,” he said.

Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, Syed Munawar Hassan said, ˈI would like to congratulate Iran for pursuing independent policies despite many challenges.ˈ

The JI chief said that Iran and Pakistan are close neighbors but there is need to further boost the bilateral ties.

Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan Ali Reza Haqiqian said on the occasion that Islamic Revolution in Iran has been constantly flourishing throughout the past 35 years.

He said that Iran and Pakistan enjoy strong bilateral ties and the relations of the two neighboring countries will continue to grow.

Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, the Chairman of Senateˈs Defense Committee described the Islamic Revolution of Iran as a major event in worldˈs history.

“I congratulate the Supreme Leader, people and the government of Iran on the 35th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution,” he said. He went on to say that the revolution had rooted out the dictatorship from Iran and defeated the imperialist forces.

Chief of Tehrik-e-Islami Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, too, congratulated Supreme Leader, people and the government of Iran on the 35th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

Chief of the Shiˈa Ulema Council said that today the Iranian nation under the leadership of Ayatollah Ali Khameneie is progressing in all fields.

Secretary General of Pakistani Muslim League-Nawaz, Senator (R) Iqbal Zafar Jhagra congratulated people and the government of Iran on the 35th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

“We are proud of our relations with Iran,” he said. The politician added that the policies of Iran would ensure peace in the region. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said that Iran is a major power in the region.

The former secretary general of foreign affairs and former ambassador Muhammad Akram Zaki, too, said that the Islamic Revolution of Iran is more important than any revolution of the world.

“In Iran the rights of state and individuals are balanced,” he said. “The Islamic Revolution is based on peaceful Islamic ideology,” he noted.

Senior Vice President of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, Agha Murtaza Poya said the Islamic Revolution has far exceeded the impacts that anybody could imagine. “It will have so much of an impact on the globe because it stands for the Muslims,” he said.

The former director general of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt General (Retd) Hamid Gul said it’s a great event and we rejoice in Muslim world.

He said ˈin Pakistan today everyone is asking for a leader like Imam Khomeini (P) because we need a change.ˈ He said that Iran had taken a strong stand against the imperialist forces and this is wonderful.

Allama Amin Shaheedi, the deputy secretary general of Majlis Wehdat Muslemeen (MWM) said that the world has not witnessed a successful revolution other than the Islamic Revolution of Iran.

Managing Director of ‘Such Tv’ Allama Syed Iftikhar Hussain Naqvi said that Islamic Revolution had defeated the imperialist forces and ended the influence of the US in the region. “Today Iran holds key position in the region,” he said.

Zaid Haimd a senior defence analyst said that the Islamic Revolution of Iran is a major event of the history that had changed the fate of entire Iranian nation.

Political and religious leaders, members of Parliament, diplomats, dignitaries, and senior military and civilian officials attended the celebrations. A large cake was also cut to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Islamic Resolution.

On the occasion photographs showing Iran’s achievement after Islamic Revolution were also displayed.
