KARACHI- Majlis-e-Wehdat Muslameen (MWM) on Wednesday staged demonstration against the demolition of Janaat-ul-Baqee cemetery.
The scores of men and women activists of Majlis-e-Wehdat Muslameen (MWM) were assembled outside the press club to stage the demonstration against the destruction of the holy shrines in Jannat-ul-Baqee in Median.
Addressing the protestors, Jaffaria Alliance leader Allama Aftab Jaffari, MWM leader Maulana Munawar Naqvi and Zehra Najafai of MWM women wing demanded of the Government of
Pakistan to use the diplomatic influence on Saudi government for the reconstruction of holy shrines of households, progeny and companions of holy Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) in Jannat-ul-Baqee cemetery.
They urged the Saudi government to come forward for the reconstruction of the holy shrines in Jannat-ul-Baqee in Medina and Jannat-ul-Mualla in Mecca saying that this was the demand of the Muslims of around the world.
The leaders said that Jannat-ul-Baqee, is a highly sacred place in Medina near the shrine of Holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), where there are graves of progeny, wife’s and companions of the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh).Â
They said that honour and dignity of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his households is commensurate with giving respect to religion and Shariah.Â
