Islamabad: 4 suspects held plotting attack on MWM rally

isb police Four terrorists, apprehended from a house in Islamabad two days ago, have admitted plotting an attack on the rally of Majlis Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen of Shiite Muslims held in Islamabad on 24th July.

According to the Shiite News, Islamabad Police has arrested another suspect, hailing from Bajaur Agency, has been taken under arrest and seized arms from his possession.

During interrogation, the outlaws, residents of Multan and Bahawalpur, confessed multiple attacks on security forces in tribal areas in past.

Police said that they were identified as Imtiaz Ahmed, Khalil-ur-Rehman, Mohammed Madni and Ghulam Abbas. 

Heavy cache of arms and ammunitions including hand grenades, pistols and rounds of bullets were also seized from his possession. Gul Wali Khan has been shifted to anonymous location for interrogation, police said.

The suspects were arrested from a house located in Sector G-11’s adjoining area Meera Abadi and Meera Khoh. The suspects took the house on Rs 5000 monthly rent from a man named Naveed Shehzad few days ago.

IG Islamabad said that accused have been taken to undisclosed location for interrogation, adding that it is premature to tell about the targets of suspects.
