Handicap Muntazir Imam send to jail, Sindh High Court Orders

According to Shiite News correspondent, Handicap, Muntazir Imam, facing false charges of sectarian killing, was sent to Jinnah Medical Hospital (JMPC) by the AJ Justice Maqbool Baqar on his complaint of being subjected to torture and maltreatment.

CID Police Sindh alleged that the suspect had involved in the killing of number of leaders and activists of outlawed terrorists outfit Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan.

Special Public Prosecutor submitted that the medical report was lacking necessary details and sought time for submitting the complete report. AJ Justice Maqbool Baqar observed that neither the report mentioned as to probably by which object the injuries were inflicted to the accused on various parts of his body nor it gave summary of various medical tests of the accused conducted at the hospital.

The AJ directed the Executive Director of JPMC to submit complete report with regard to the suspect’s injuries within two days and in the meantime sent the suspect to jail.

The well-informed sources told the Shiite News that the outlawed Sipah-e-Sahaba on the directives of SSP CID Chaudhry Mohammad Aslam and SSP Umar Shahid submitted an application in the Sindh High court against the hearing of the case under Justic Maqbool Baqar.

On the application of the banned terrorists outfit patronized by CID Police Sindh, the honorable Justice Maqbool Baqar requested the honorable Sindh High Court Chief Justice Sarmad jalal Usmani to separate him from the case but Chief Justice declined his request and directed him to continue the proceedings.
