Eight Shia martyred in Quetta rocket attack, gunfire

shiite-news-quetta-attack-shiaAt least Eight Shia people were martyred and 15 wounded in rocket attack and gunfire by militants of Wahabi-Nasabi’s terrorists of Sipah-e-Sahaba and Taliban in Quetta’s Hazara Town on Friday Morning.

According to the Shiite News Correspondent, Militants of Wahabi-Nasabi’s terrorists of Sipah-e-Sahaba and Taliban  riding two vehicles launched gun and rocket attacks on a group of Shia youths in an open ground in Hazara Town.

DIG Operations Quetta Police Hamid Shakeel said the victims were in a neighbourhood park in the town in southwestern Pakistan when they were shot at. The attackers fled, he said.

He confirmed that Eight people have lost their lives in the deadly attack.

“They were taking morning exercise when the attackers came in two cars and indiscriminately opened fire on them,” he told Reuters. The injured were taken to Bolan Medical, a nearby hospital for treatment. He quoted residents as saying the attackers fired rockets before shooting.

Local residents told media that they heard intense gunshots and rocket fires. Police and Frontier Corps cordoned off the area and initiated investigation.

No one has claimed responsibility for the latest attack.
