Police arrest three suspects of Karachi University blast

Ku_logoKarachi Police picked up three suspects including two students of Karachi University allegedly involved in Karachi University (KU) blast.Sources privy to the matter told Shiite News that three KU students affiliated with a student wing of religious/political party were picked up from different areas of the city in last couple of days.Sources closed the matter disclosed that the students Hafizullah son of Naimatullah , student of International relation department of Karachi University was the resident of North Nazimbad and Muhammad Umar  Chaudhry son of Major Aslam Chaudhry, student of Food Science and Technology department, was the resident of Malir and one  Muhammad Faiz resident of North Karachi, was the pass out student of Karachi University.

The alleged culprits have reportedly confessed that they had fixed the device at the sitting stall of Imamia Student Organization (ISO) located at the main cafeteria of university, where the ISO activists and Shia students offers Zohrain prayers daily.

The low intensity blast which left two students seriously wounded and two minor saved the lives of various other students standing to offer noon prayers.

Sources said that the alleged mastermind of the blast was the former student of university having closed association with other two students of the university. The religious student’s organization of the students disowned the affiliation of the accused persons and said that party sacked all three members earlier. It has also been learnt that above said students have had been accused by their rival organization in distributing the sectarian literature inside the university campus. It is pertinent to mention here that families of the students have lodged the applications in the respective jurisdiction of police ahead of the missing of their children. Sources said that the matter will be public as after the completion of investigation.
